NDIZI MBIVU(HOW TO COOK PLANTAIN WITH COCONUT MILK)



MAHITAJI/INGREDIENTS
1.Ndizi mbivu(Mkono wa tembo) 4
 4 Plantains 

2.Nazi kubwa 1
 1 Large Fresh Coconut

3.Sukari kikombe kidogo 1
 1 Small Cup Sugar

4.Arki Vanilla kijiko cha chai 1
 1 Tea Spoon Vanilla 

5.Chumvi kiduchu
 Pinch of Salt

6.Hiliki punje 10
  10 Cloves of Cardamom 

7.Zabibu pakti Ndogo 1
 1 Small Packet Raisins 
8.Custard kijiko cha chakula 2
  2 Tbsp Custard Powder
  
9.Maji kiasi
  Some Water 

MAANDALIZI/PREPARATIONS
1.Osha ndizi zikiwa na maganda yake vizuri
  Wash the plantains with clean water
2.Kata ndizi yako sehemu mbili sawa upate vipande viwili
  Cut the plantains into halves

3.Pasua ndizi katikati kisha imenye maganda usiyatupe yaweke pembeni sehemu safi
  Slice one half at the center ,remove the skin and keep them aside for other uses

4.Weka maganda yako kwenye sufuria unayopikia yapange vizuri
  Place the skin in the pan that you will use for cooking the plantains

5.Weka ndizi juu ya maganda yake zipange vizuri kwenye sufuria
   Add the peeled plantains on top of  skin

6.Kuna nazi kisha saga kwenye blenda au chuja kwa mkono
   Grate the coconut and blend it or use your hand to get coconut milk

7.Weka tui zito mbali na tui jepesi mbali
   Make sure you separate the heavy coconut milk and light one

8.Twanga hiliki mpaka iwe ya unga
  Grind the cardamom seeds to get cardamom powder

JINSI YA KUPIKA/HOW TO COOK
1.Chukua tui jepesi na chumvi mimina kwenye sufuria ya ndizi
  Pour light coconut milk in the pan contained plantains ,add salt too

2.Kisha weka sukari na zabibu weka jikoni zifunike ziache kwa dakika 10 zikichemka
  Add sugar and raisins,then cover the pan let it cooked for 10 minutes

3.Baada ya dakika hizo weka arki, hiliki na tui zito ila libakishe kidogo
  Add vanilla,cardamom and heavy coconut milk(dont add all of it)

4.Acha zichemke kwa dakika 5 
  Let it cooked for 5 minutes 

5.Changanya custard kwenye tui lililobakia na ikoroge vizuri kisha mimina kwenye ndizi baada ya dakika 1 epua
  Mix custard powder and remained coconut milk and pour it in the mixture,leave it for just a minute and remove the pan from the stove

6.Acha zipoe pakua tayari kwa kula kama zilivyo au na wali au na mkate
  Let them cool,serve them as they are or you can serve with bread or rice

Angalizo:Note;
1.Kama ndizi ni ngumu weka tui jepesi jingi ili ziive na zilainike kabla kuweka tui la pili au unaweza kuzichemsha kidogo
 If the plantains are not soft enough better to boil before adding coconut milk .Or add large amount of coconut milk and cook it for a long time before adding the heavy coconut cream

2.Huu upishi haukorogwi so usikoroge hata kidogo tumia kitambaa kisafi cha jikoni kutikisa sufuria
  Do not stir them while cooking.Use the clean kitchen towel and take the pan and shake it if needed 

3.Pika kwa moto wa kiasi kuepusha kuungua
  Cook them by using the middle heat

4.Unaweza kuwekavijiti vinene badala ya maganda ya ndizi ukihofia zitaungua chini
  You can place large stick at the bottom of the pan instead of there skin

5.Zenyewe zina sukari kwahio ukitaka punguza sukari kama hupendi nyingi
  You can reduce the amount of sugar mentioned if you dont like too much sugar

6.Hakikisha tui la mwanzo linakua zito zito ili kupendezesha ndizi zako
  Make sure the first coconut milk is too heavy

7.Hakikisha unaweka maganda au vijiti chini ya sufuria ili zisiungue
  Make sure you place stick or there skin to avoid the plantain to get burnt
